How to Transform Your Presentations into E-Learning Content

Over the past year, the pandemic has forced many to adapt to remote working and changed the way we conduct meetings and presentations. Conducting video conferences has become a common method to facilitate such exchanges, but what if there is a more efficient way to share your expertise to your clients or staff, without the need to spend time repeating the same thing every session?

E-learning makes your content available to a wide pool of audiences, eliminating time and location restrictions. It can be formatted in an intuitive self-paced format accessible on desktop, web and mobile.

Converting your presentations does not need to be complicated. Here are some pointers to help you get started:

  • Break down content into bite-sized modules – You may have an existing slide deck or video recording that spans at least an hour or two, that may be a bit heavy to complete in one sitting. A good place to start is to look at your presentation outline, and break them up into parts, preferably 5-10 minutes for each video, or up to 20 minutes per module.

  • Ask questions – Without direct presence, how do you gauge your audience’s understanding of the topic? Using multiple-choice questions, responses can be graded automatically and provide immediate feedback.
